Only what we need to respond and do the work.
We keep data collection deliberately minimal. The information we hold falls into two buckets:
- ✓What you give us. When you fill out the contact form or book an assessment, we collect what you type in — typically your name, business name, email address, phone number, company size, and the message describing what you need. Our contact form is processed through Formspree, which delivers your message to us by email. When you become a client, we collect the information required to deliver and support your IT and security services.
- ✓Basic technical data. Like most websites, our hosting and content-delivery provider may record standard server logs — such as IP address, browser type, and the pages requested — to keep the site secure and running. We do not run advertising trackers, and we do not build marketing profiles on visitors.
To talk to you and to run your services.
We use the information you share for clear, limited purposes:
- ✓To respond to your inquiry, schedule your free assessment, and answer questions.
- ✓To deliver, manage, monitor, and support the IT and security services you have engaged us for.
- ✓To send service-related communication — for example, an alert about a security event, a maintenance notice, or an invoice.
- ✓To meet our legal, tax, and contractual obligations.
The vendors that help us run, at a high level.
To operate, we rely on a small set of reputable providers. Each only receives the data needed for its specific function, and each is bound by its own security and privacy commitments.
- ✓Microsoft (Azure / Microsoft 365). Hosting, email, identity, and productivity infrastructure used to communicate with you and manage client environments.
- ✓Cloudflare. Website delivery, DNS, and security/edge protection for this site.
- ✓Calendly. Scheduling, so you can book your free assessment directly on our calendar.
- ✓Formspree. Processes our contact-form submissions and forwards them to us by email.
If our list of providers changes materially, we will update this page. We may also disclose information when legally required — for example, in response to a valid court order — or when necessary to protect the safety, rights, or security of our clients and systems.
We keep it only as long as it is useful or required.
We hold contact-form inquiries for as long as needed to respond and follow up. For active clients, we retain the records required to deliver and support your services for the life of the engagement. After an engagement ends, we retain only what we are legally or contractually obligated to keep — for example, billing and tax records — and securely dispose of the rest. If you ask us to delete your information sooner, we will do so wherever we are not required by law to retain it.
Want to see, correct, or delete your data?
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Send any privacy request — access, correction, or deletion — to matt@coeustech.net. To protect your data, we may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe and let you know what we have done.
Questions about this policy or how we handle your information? Reach out the same way — directly to the owner, no ticket queue — by email at matt@coeustech.net or by phone at 248-979-2364.
If this changes, the date changes with it.
We may update this policy as our practices or providers evolve. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be reflected here, and continued use of our site or services after an update means you accept the revised policy.
